Hello and welcome to July at Your Library!

When it is cold outside, settling down with a good book never looked so good. You can hear the stories behind some of the books at one of the many author talks we have coming up at Belgrave, Knox Express, Lilydale, Mooroolbark and Rowville libraries.

Don't forget, you can log your reading and take some reading challenges, as part of the Warm Winter Reads program - you might even win a prize!

Reading Buddies

Reading Buddies is a brand new program supporting the parents and caregivers of primary school aged students to help their children read.

We know that most children come home from school with a reader they are supposed to complete each night; we also know that many adults don’t have the confidence to help their children learn to read, so we have developed this brand new program.

‌
‌

Parents/caregivers and their children will listen to stories, play games and read together,
all supported by our volunteer Reading Buddy. A small afternoon snack will be provided.
Reading Buddies will be held every Thursday during school terms.
Come along to our first session at Bayswater Library:
Thu 13 July, 4pm - 5pm (FREE)
Bookings required
