If there are hearts, roses and chocolates around, we must be getting close to Valentine's Day! A lesser known fact, is that February 14th is also Library Lover's Day, where you can show your love for books, reading and all things library. This is the day we announce the winners of our Reader's Choice campaign, where people have been voting for their favourite read of 2024. Find out what your friends, neighbours and fellow library users have enjoyed over the past year. One lucky voter will win the Reader's Choice prize - a book voucher - so they can fulfill their heart's desires, and stock up on their literary loves.

Little people have also been reading along with the BIG Summer Read statewide reading program. Hundreds of children have logged their reading over the summer holidays, and prizes will be awarded to entrants at each branch of Your Library, plus one of our members may be the statewide prize winner.

Our program of events doesn't officially get underway until March, but we are easing in with a couple of early events - and they both involve food! Instagram sensation, Chloe Wheatland, will share her vegan recipes that nourish body and mind at Rowville Library, while ILonka Guse presents her memoir of migrating from West Germany to Melbourne, in From Sauerkraut to Vegemite at Belgrave.
