We're celebrating some exciting things!

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is coming up on 22 May at 12 midday and this year's special book is Bowerbird Blues by Aura Parker. Get ready for fun NSS events at your local branch, or reserve a copy of Bowerbird Blues today!

Term 2 is the perfect time to join the Victorian Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC). You can find PRC books easily at any branch of Your Library or in our catalogue. Let's get reading!

Our Reading Buddies program launches at the new Knox Library | Ngarrgoo from 1 May. Reading Buddies is designed to support primary school parents and caregivers to help their child to read, so grab your school reader and join us on Wednesdays, from 4-5pm.

Save the date! The Winter School Holiday Program will run from 1 - 14 July. Bookings open  midday Saturday, 22 June - be quick to book in for all the fun activities we have in store!

We have lots more coming up for you this term, so stay tuned.

National Simultaneous Storytime is coming soon!

Join us for the 24th National Simultaneous Storytime.

We will be celebrating by reading Bowerbird Blues, by Aura Parker, at Storytimes from Monday 20 - Friday 24 May, along with the rest of Australia! There will be songs, rhymes and a craft activity too! Keep an eye on our Facebook page for more details.

Art of the Lyric Challenge

Art of the Lyric challenge

Miller?s Homestead challenges you to share your love of music by creating a 2D artwork inspired by your favourite song lyric. Pick up your free canvas now from Miller's Homestead, 30 Dorrigo Dve (cnr Melrose Crt), Boronia. Bring your entry to Miller's between 29 April and 27 May 2024.

Entries will be exhibited at the 'Immersed in Music' month from 28 June to 28 July 2024, as part of Knox City Council's 'Immerse' art program. Open to children (5-12 years) and teens (13-19 years). Register now!

We know that most children come home from school with a reader they are supposed to complete each night. We also know that many adults don?t have the confidence to help their children learn to read - this is why the 'Reading Buddies' program was started.

Gently Gently storytimes

Gently, Gently storytimes at Belgrave Library 

Every Wednesday, 9:30am-10:30am (during school terms)
These storytimes are aimed at children who may find our regular storytimes overwhelming. Storytime helps your child develop early literacy skills and a lifelong love of books. It is also a special time to bond with your child. Sessions run for 20 - 25 mins, followed by an activity. (Ages 3-6 years) FREE -

Cuddle and connect at Boronia Library

Every Monday, 9:30am-11:30am  Reading gives you a perfect opportunity to cuddle and connect with your baby. Reading to your unborn baby is also a great way to bond. Cuddle up with your little one, and join us for our special storytime with gentle rhymes, songs, lullabies and stories. You are welcome to enjoy a cuppa, and the company of fellow parents and parents-to-be, before and after our storytime session. (For babies aged 0-4 months) Bookings not required.
